NCCER's comprehensive Electrical curriculum complies with Department of Labor (DOL) time-based standards for apprenticeships and helps you prepare for a career as a professional electrician. Through this four-level program, you will develop an understanding of electrical systems in structures, learn how to follow blueprints, and install wiring and other electrical components, such as circuit breaker panels, switches and light fixtures.
This class serves as the fourth level of training in the Electrical craft. Structured as a hybrid class, a combination of online training and live classroom/lab training, students learn the following content: Load Calculations-Feeders & Services, Health Care Facilities, Standby and Emergency Systems, Basic Electronic Theory, Fire Alarm Systems, Specialty Transformers, Heat Tracing and Freeze Protection, Motor Operation and Maintenance, Medium Voltage Termination/Splices, Special Locations, and Fundamentals of Crew Leadership.
Prerequisite: Electrical Level 3.
